Maiandros was her idea for a name. She drew from her heritage as a Greek imigrant to America.
Maiandros refers to the process through which an individual finds their way through life and can realize their destiny.
Joanna was a wheelchair user who fell in love with the outdoors. I live forever in her memory and debt of gratitude of being her friend.
She walked with me every week. She believed America and she knew anything was possible.
