I believe I do well in business because I am fully integrated. You get a good mind and a stout body with me. You are going to go the long haul with me. You get somebody who can see it all and can put muscle behind it.
Vision
The first house I built I spent extra on custom windows. I couldn’t get the picture out of my head of what it would be like to sit in that living room and see the branches of the 50 ft ash trees outside framed in glass.
When I first walked into the place I heard the people I was with gasping. This was before there was paint and before there was flooring. A good house will do that before it is finished.
That is what you can do when you are a fully integrated person. Nothing comes later. It all comes in at the time when you know it can.
Fortitude
The brand of fortitude that I have is a mixture of patience strength and stamina.
It is an ability to go through the day by day with my sight locked steadily on the horizon.
It is an ability to mute out the grunts and groans of the bones. and keep things plodding forward no matter the level of complaint.
Achievement
This is how I achieved more profit in my first year than anybody in my training program.
Construction projects can be very stressful and do come with risk. I have found though that if you smash through all of the ominous stress and you dictate the tone of success form the beginning, it is a great business to be in.
If you are looking for a builder, ask them how they handle upsets. Plan for them. I would recommend hiring somebody who knows how to see a project through the hard times. that is a better option than somebody who tells you everything is always good.
With the right planning and vision from the beginning, you can set yourself up to succeed against any obstacle.
